Founded in Paris in 1895, today the presence of Le Cordon Bleu encompasses some 30  international schools in 15 countries, attended by more than 22,000 students annually.

Le Cordon Bleu came to Australia in 1996, opening the Sydney Culinary Arts Institute with an aim to provide job ready graduates equipped with both the Diploma in Hospitality (Management) and the coveted Le Cordon Bleu Grand Diplome qualification.  The programs currently graduate over 700 students per year and service the burgeoning demand for innovative chefs across Australia and the world. 

In 1998, Le Cordon Bleu chose Adelaide as an ideal location to deliver the coveted Bachelor of Business degrees Restaurant Management and International Hotel Management.

The Le Cordon Bleu business management programs delivered in partnership with the Adelaide’s universities and the Regency International Centre for Hospitality, Leisure and Food Studies - recognised international leaders in hospitality and business management education and research, offer Le Cordon Bleu graduates a stellar qualification for a successful career in the hospitality industry.

At a post-graduate, executive management level, Le Cordon Bleu provides senior hospitality managers with the ability to obtain a coveted Le Cordon Bleu qualification.  The Masters programs in hospitality management delivered in conjunction with the University of South Australia provides contemporary, in-depth curricula, exploring the multifaceted challenges managers of today face.  Current candidates for this program range from middle management practitioners through to General Managers of large multinational operations. 

In contrast, the Le Cordon Bleu Master of Arts in Gastronomy delivered with the University of Adelaide, explores the joy, art and ritual of food and wine consumption, tailored to suit aspiring researchers, food critics, writers and those with a passion for the Australian and French food and industry.
